Yeah!! I found a few more Halloween pics on Leah's camera, so I thought I'd post them here. They were really loving the makeup this year, though Kaila cried and we almost had to do a re-application of the mascara. In other news, Leah requested that we NOT trick-or-treat with the neighbors next year because going up to the door was "just too crowded." For any of you who've ever had to share a bed with Leah, you recognize this as another statement from a girl who likes her space.
On another note, I completely forgot about the aftermath of Halloween. No, I'm not talking about all the candy that calls to me and tempts me every time I walk in the room. I'm talking about the constant direction it takes to make sure that no one eats too much. It goes something like this:
Kid: Mom, can I have some candy? I ate all my vegetables!
Me: Yes, I guess so. You can have two little pieces or one big piece.
Kid: Ok. (a few minutes later) How big is a little piece? Is it like this? (lollipop) or like this? (Reeses PB cup) or like this? (sweettarts package). Is this a big one? (fun dip package)
Me: AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHRRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!! Why is this so hard?
It makes me feel like telling them to just sit down and eat as much as they can. Just to get it over with.
And by the way, if you were wondering, the score is candy: 200 (as in, 100 points per day)
and me: ZERO.
